“Non-gaming, understated luxury inside CityCenter”
Originally opened as the Mandarin Oriental and rebranded Waldorf Astoria in 2018, this CityCenter tower skips the casino floor entirely in favor of quiet, refined luxury — floor-to-ceiling Strip views, a top-floor Sky Lobby, and easy walking access to ARIA, Vdara, and the Crystals shops.
Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas is worth considering for one clear reason: a calm non-gaming environment in the CityCenter area. The main drawback is also important: it offers fewer resort-scale entertainment options than neighboring casino hotels.
Room Strategy
Choose by renovation status, location within the property, and total price—not room name alone.
View labels are property-specific; confirm orientation, floor, and possible obstruction before paying more.
Verify the exact tower and room category against current property photos and renovation disclosures.
What the Booking Photos Don’t Tell You
Pay only for a confirmed renovation, useful location, meaningful view, or included service—not a vague premium category name.
Map distance understates elevator, casino, bridge, and resort-corridor walking; trace the actual route to your priority attractions.
View labels are marketing categories. Confirm floor, direction, obstruction, and whether the named landmark is fully visible.
On the Ground
Casino scale and atmosphere vary by day and event; recent guest reports can help set expectations.
Confirm seasonal dates, maintenance closures, access rules, and reserved-seating policies.
Evaluate the exact route from this Center Strip property to the attractions on your itinerary.
Request a room away from elevators, service areas, nightlife, and major roads if you are sensitive to noise.
Check room occupancy rules, pool access, smoking exposure, and age restrictions for planned venues.
Compare the spa, pool, dining, shopping, and attraction options you would actually use.
