THE BIG NIGHTCLUBS
These are the venues that define global nightlife. They book the world's #1 DJs for exclusive residencies, and a single Saturday night can see $1M+ in revenue. The experience is like nothing else.
XS Nightclub — The #1 Club in America
XS at Encore has been named the #1 nightclub in the United States by multiple publications for over a decade. The indoor-outdoor space features a massive pool centerpiece surrounded by the dance floor, with golden body-cast sculptures lining the walls. Tiësto, Diplo, Steve Aoki, and the biggest names in electronic music hold residencies here. Expect a $50–100 cover on weekend nights and a dress code strictly enforced. Bottle service starts around $600/person minimum.
Omnia — Chandelier & Drama
Omnia's centerpiece is a 22-ton kinetic art chandelier suspended over the main dance floor that pulses and transforms throughout the night. Multiple levels include a rooftop terrace with Strip views, an underground cave for intimate electronic sets, and the massive main room for headline DJ performances. Zedd, Calvin Harris, Kygo, and Martin Garrix are frequent headliners.
Hakkasan — Five Floors of Nightlife
Hakkasan at MGM Grand is a Michelin-starred restaurant on the upper floors and one of the world's most impressive nightclubs below. Five floors of entertainment, a main room with state-of-the-art production, a smaller Ling Ling Club for house and techno, and a restaurant for pre-club dinner. Tiësto, Calvin Harris, Deadmau5, and Steve Aoki have all held lengthy residencies here.
Marquee — Strip Views & Super DJs
Marquee sits at the top of The Cosmopolitan with terraces overlooking the Las Vegas Strip on both sides. The main room has a massive DJ booth and LED production; outside, the Bungalow bar and terrace are perfect for a break from the noise. A more accessible price point than XS or Omnia makes this a great starting point for nightclub first-timers.
Drai's Beachclub & Nightclub
Drai's is unique in offering a full rooftop beachclub during the day (Drai's Beachclub) that transitions into a hot nightclub at night. The venue dominates hip-hop and R&B nightlife on the Strip, booking chart-topping artists for live performances rather than DJ sets. If EDM isn't your thing, Drai's is your nightclub.
POOL PARTIES (DAYCLUBS)
Las Vegas invented the daytime pool party — and they've become their own industry. These aren't hotel pools; they're full productions with DJ stages, VIP cabanas, and crowds that rival any nightclub.
Wet Republic Ultra Pool
The definitive Las Vegas dayclub. Wet Republic hosts the biggest EDM DJs in the world every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from April through October. The five pools and two stages create a genuine festival atmosphere under the desert sun. VIP bungalows and daybeds require minimum spend; general admission tickets are available. Go early to secure a spot near the main stage.
Encore Beach Club
The poolside companion to XS Nightclub is one of Las Vegas's most exclusive dayclubs. Three pools, massive bungalows, and the same DJ lineup as XS means European party vibes under the Nevada sun. Steve Aoki, Dillon Francis, and Marshmello are regular headliners. Saturday afternoons sell out months in advance.
Marquee Dayclub
Marquee's rooftop pool transforms into a daytime party on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The retractable roof opens to the desert sky, the Bungalow bar overlooks the Strip, and the DJ booth fires up around noon. A more accessible price point than Encore Beach Club makes this perfect for groups.
BARS & LOUNGES
Not every night needs to be a $500 experience. Las Vegas has world-class bars at every price point.
The Chandelier Bar — Three Floors of Cool
The most architecturally striking bar in Las Vegas — a three-story, 2,000-square-foot chandelier surrounding a central bar on each floor. The top floor (The Conservatory Bar) is quieter and more intimate; the middle floor serves the famous "Secret Sip" cocktail from a specialty menu. No cover, no dress code. Arrive by 9pm on weekends to avoid a wait.
Parasol Up & Down
Twin bars named for their locations on the upper and lower esplanade of Wynn Las Vegas. Parasol Down sits directly beside a stunning waterfall and lake feature. The cocktail program is refined and creative. Perfect for a romantic nightcap or a sophisticated pre-dinner drink. The ambiance is Wynn through and through — elegant and unhurried.
The Downtown Bar Scene
The Fremont East District, about 10 minutes from the Strip via Uber, is Las Vegas's alternative nightlife hub — craft cocktails, dive bars, and live music venues like Beauty Bar and Commonwealth. Less glamorous than the Strip, more authentic. A great second-night option once you've done the club scene.
NIGHTLIFE TIPS
- Guest list is everything — Almost every nightclub offers free or reduced cover for women and reduced rates for men who sign up on the official guest list. Check club websites on Tuesday–Wednesday for weekend lists.
- Dress code is real — Major clubs like XS, Omnia, and Hakkasan enforce strict dress codes. Men: no sneakers, no shorts, no hats, dress shirt or blazer required. Women have more flexibility but aim for cocktail attire.
- Arrive before midnight — Lines for major clubs get very long after midnight. Arriving before 11:30pm often means shorter waits and sometimes free cover.
- Table minimums are high — Bottle service tables at top clubs start at $500–800/person minimum on weekends, not including tax and tip (usually +30%). Split between 4–6 people, it can be worth it for the VIP access.
- Pool parties are the move — For the best value in Vegas nightlife, pool parties offer the full club experience at lower prices, in the sunshine. Book VIP tables for guaranteed poolside spots.
